Welcome to Nueva Govardhan – Ecological farm! We are one hour from Santiago de Cali, in Los Farallones, municipality of Villa Carmelo, path towards La Candelaria.
The place is still very new, the facilities are, for the moment, basic and rustic, but the idea of the volunteer program is that more people add their contribution, not only economic but also personal, helping with artistic details in the garden, In constructions, etc. We have wooden constructions, that due to the climate of the place it is necessary to maintain them periodically. The kitchen is wood-burning and the bathrooms are dry and we also have a traditional stove. We have crops of heliconias (typical flower of the Valley of the Cauca), fruit trees, and we are beginning the creation of compost and organic vegetable garden.
Arriving at the farm, it is not simple to find the first time you come so we will meet you in Route 6 # 8-48 in the city of Cali, and from there we will travel together until La Candelaria. The access to the farm is on foot from the sidewalk, where we leave the transport that takes us from Cali. We have to walk about half an hour in the mountain, walking the beautiful landscape typical of Los Farallones, with many trees and rivers.
The daily service of 5 hours can be arranged according to your needs and preferences, in the morning or afternoon, or a few hours in the morning and others in the afternoon.
We have spaces where we hold Inbound Yoga classes, workshops of conscious art, recycling, agro-consciousness, bio-construction and meditation.
Volunteers pay $ 13 (US dollars) a day to cover food and accommodation costs. They must bring a sleeping bag because the area is very cool at night and the blankets can be sparse.
The water for bathing is cold, because the supply of it is directly from the river. If you feel comfortable with us, with the place and after 3 weeks you want to continue staying we can talk and reach an agreement so that you do, since what we long for is that you feel at home and that you can make of this place Your place.
